In Benin, many young children are forced to skip kindergarten and jump directly into grade one due to a lack of classrooms. This leaves them at a disadvantage, as studies show that children who attend kindergarten are better prepared and more eager to learn in their early academic years. With your support, we will build a new kindergarten classroom to ensure that more children can receive the foundational education they need before transitioning into grade one.
