Youth Aging Out of the Child Welfare System Need Our Help

Most of us see transitioning to independence as an exciting life milestone. For youth in the child welfare system, this time can be fraught with anxiety and difficult emotions. Many youth leaving care face significant challenges, and often lack family connections, support systems, and basic life skills - all of which can make it difficult for them to succeed.

With your help, we will give youth leaving care a place they can call ‘home’, with support toward a rental deposit and basic furniture/housewares. We will also help them build their capacity to succeed after leaving care with support toward life skills classes, counseling, and other supports that help them to remove barriers to education and employment.

Together, let's ensure that ten local youth can overcome some of their biggest challenges as they age out of care, so they can build the bright future they deserve.
