Help Support the Physical and Mental Well-Being of Children and Youth.

The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Free to Grow Program nurtures the physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being of children and youth by providing funding for recreational and life skill opportunities such as sports, arts, camps, driver’s education and leadership development, as well as providing funding for mental health counselling.

We recognize the link between physical health and mental health, and providing opportunities to children and youth to get active also supports their mental well-being.

Did you know that 70% of mental health problems have their onset during childhood or adolescence and wait times for counselling can be upwards of 6-12 months?

Your donation will help us provide funding for 1:1 counselling for youth who cannot afford it, which will help reduce wait times, provide early intervention, and reduce potential suicides and self-harm. It will also help us continue to provide funding for recreational activities to support the full well-being of local children and youth.
