Increasing Suicide Alertness in Community

Our community has recently lost several young people to suicide.  Any person lost is one too many and was likely preventable, if others would have noticed the signs and assisted early on.  Through our offering of SafeTalk Suicide Alertness Training, we will increase the likelihood of young people noticing a peer who is struggling with thoughts of suicide and will give the tools needed to get that young person in need connected to appropriate local service when an intervention can be conducted.  Your donation will help prepare 10 young people to have those skills; to be alert, to feel confident having tough conversations, and understanding where local professional help can be found.  Lives will be saved.
